As usual uneventful weekend

For some reason, I am rarely productive on Saturday and Sunday. Today, I am more productive than my usual Sunday, but I under-study today. After, it would be another 7 days until I worry tremendously for my Tax 2 exam the following, though I only need around 40 marks for my exam to pass the whole module. Funny how I always procrastinate before tests and exam, just to panic at the last minute. Still, it is a great improvement this sem. I really put in efforts for my common tests. Maybe I was too stressed. I passed all my 4 common tests (I failed 3 out of 5 the previous sem), but the results were below satisfactory. I even has several dreams about my result!

The first one was really embarrassing. It was Chinese New Year Eve. Just a couple of hours before the end of countdown to Chinese New Year. I fell asleep on sofa and dreamt about me going to retest for MA. I was asking for direction for the venue of retest. I woke up from my sleep and I was still in my dream, asking around for direction. All my relatives were stunt. A funny recollection nonetheless.

I am envious of other people's blogs. They are so colouful and all. Mine is so dull. Too bad there isn't much I can do. They have stopped issuing the account for Blogspot, and I am semi-computer-illiterate. *Sigh* I managed to get a visitor counter though. Better than nothing.

Let me recall what I have studied today: Agency- 4 factors to determine whether one is an agent:
1) Whether it is stated on the contract that one is an agent (If yes, he or she is an agent in true sense of word)
2) Whether one is informed much about the arrangement (If a lot, then he or she is an agent in true sense of word)
3) Whether one is paid on commission or a lump sum (If commission, he or she is an agent in true sense of word)
4) Whether the bill of lading(Gosh! My FIT is a complete disaster!) is being sent to the consignee, or the customers keep it to themselves (Misinterpretation ?). If sent to consignee, ditto above 3 brackets.

The case study to illustrate this is Corten Furniture v. Merzario Pte Ltd............ Okay, enough of my crap. Gotta get back to my studies.

Lonely celebration of last tutorial

It was 11 March. MA tutorial ended at 5 pm that day. I intended to watch "In Good Company" after that. However, Jurong Point, which was near my house, never screen the movie. My option was West Mall, but I would have to wait until 7.20pm. Instead, I took the bus to Orchard with my friends since Plaza Singapura also screens the movie at 7.20pm and waste lesser time. I got to chat with my friends on bus for half an hour, who were going to celebrate their friend's birthday at Fish & Cold.

I was thinking of watching "Hitch" in case the tickets were sold out. However, I manage to secure a 3rd-row seat. It was too near to the screen, but it was tolerable. Before the movie, I went to the hawker which was just below the cinema. I bought the chicken rice recommended by my friend. It was really nice. I recommend it too. The movie was nice, but Scarlett Johansson didn't appear much in the film. She was so beautiful and attractive.

After the movie, I bought a cup of Bandung as I was thirsty and had a bit of brainfreeze. Maybe the cinema was cold and the drink was cold too. I thought taking MRT at PS. Then again, taking train at Doughby Gaught(Spell?) means having to transfer train at City Hall, which is just 1 stop away from DG. So I decided to walk to City Hall MRT station. I could walk from Orchard MRT to DG MRT station. Now, I can walk from Orchard all the way to City Hall MRT station. DG and City Hall are 3 stations away. It was quite an enjoyable walk. I got to see beautiful and nice buildings I rarely get to see. However, when I revisit the places, I don't want to do so alone. I want to be the tour guide. =P

It was a great way to end my day.

No more lectures!

But still got one more Business Law (BLAW) tutorial. *Sigh* I am so envious of Jasmine and Elisa they all. No more BLAW tutorial. I still have to come to school this friday for that last tutorial. Still, it is great that we are having a 2-week study break before the exam. We always had 1 week. However, I am not yet in study mood. Still relaxing. Then again, no point taking things too hard. I was way too stressed during the common tests. In fact, I was so nervous during Managing Accounts (MA) test that I make careless mistakes which cost me more than 10 marks . I got 59 marks out of hundred by the way.

Unbelievable!

It was before the school term starts that I last wrote my blog. Now it is close to the end of semester and it is amazing that I still remember I have a blog. Wonder how much longer am I going to maintain my blog? Maybe blog is just my excuse to kill time, or practise my typing skill and English.
