Back to Singapore!

Wow! The trip to Malaysia lasted 10 days. For the first time, I am out of Singapore alone, and for the longest time ever. Think my previous record was my 8-days trip to Australia. Well, this is quite a fun trip and got to learn plenty there. I got to go Genting Highland for 2 days 1 night. It was quite a rush. 1st day go indoor theme park, 2nd day go outdoor theme park. Go there only theme park. Haiz........ Wish it was a 3 days 2 nights stay. This way, it wwould be less tiring and we could go to more places there, such as mushroom garden, temple, bowling, French Village, etc. Next time bah! I love going to Genting so much, but my previous trip was a bit disturbing. Beside, I heard so much horroe story about Genting Highland, but I will not talk about it here, for fear of defamation. Gosh.......

For the first time, got to see the Petronas Towers, better known as KL Twin Towers. Got to take photographs there. How fascinating! However, I didn't find the Petronas shopping centre too interesting, except that lots of expensive stuffs are sold there. Got to be real rich if you really want to shop there. Was just there for sight-seeing. Heard that Mid-Valley is the largest shopping centre in KL. You needs days to fully explore the shopping centre, literally. A pity I never got to go there. Don't think I even saw it.

Then there is this Taman Pertanian, a huge natural reserve. Interesting place, except that its maintenance was bad. The stood up station is the 4-season house, which features different sceneries of all the 4 seasons. When I went there, it was featuring Summer, I think. It was hard to take photos there as we were not allowed to walk into the display, and it is not too appealing to take photos through those poorly designed windows.

After 6 days in KL, I went back to my cousin's house to rest for several days. I had a good rest there after my tiring trip in KL. While I was there, I went to the world's largest pineapple plantation. Believe, the landscape of the pineapple plantation is so large that is was near impossible for me to take satisfactory photos of the sceneries within the frame of my camera, and it is already wide-frame of 1.35:1 ratio. Wish I have a digital camera, so that I could take a 260 degrees video shot of the whole place. So lucky to be there.

All in all, I am just so glad to be where I was. I appreciate my experience very much.

Going to KL soon

Well, I will be off early in the morning this Saturday for a 9am bus straight to KL. It will be a 1-week trip. I have semi-prepared my stuff, leaving the rest of preparation to the day before(tomorrow), but better than everything last minute lah. Hmm.... First time leaving Singapore alone, it will be quite an adventure for me. Will be going Genting for 2 days. Hope to get some fine souvenirs for you gals. :)

To myself: Bon voyage!

Strange phone call

Just a couple of hours ago, I received a callback from a lady whom had a survey done with me near Esplanade theatre the day before. I knew something is wrong with the survey during our conversation. Not so much with the survey itself, but more on the person conducting the survey. Told me she is a Ngee Ann student like me, but when I asked her which year is she currently in, she gave me the impression that she is going into Ngee Ann as part of the coming batch of new student. She seems too young for that... ... Beside, if she has no school right now, why would she need to do a survey in the public?

As it turn out, I was short-listed for a job interview for a company that is expanding. I know, it is just a job interview, but I am not desparate for a job, and bio-science is not my area of interest. Than again, I may give it a shot. The caller, also the surveyor, make it really flexible. I may give it a try, for the sake of money... ...

P.S. It will be at raffles. So if I can work, it will be easier to meet the working girls. Hahaha..... :-D

It's a jolly holiday for 1 week

Haven't update my blog for a week. Well, last wednesday and thursday were quite fun and eventful, but Elisa and Jasmine posted so much about them on their respective blogs, so too lazy to type. :-P

The rest of the days were quite peaceful. Either go school to exercise in gym or swim, or go watch movie at school library. However, I am satisfied with the way I spent my time. Reading about attachment really makes me treasure my life in poly even more. Working life. *Sigh* Earning money is tough. Going through attachment should let me have a feel of working life. If only there is OT pay.

Appreciation

I am such a lucky boy. Had a meaningful chat with a friend of mine. She reminds me that unlike many people, I don't have to work at a young age and can have more freedom with time and money. I could have more money to buy CDs, watch movies, devour on costlier food. More time to surf net, read newspaper, go out, etc......

My parents love me very much, and to think I even have complains about them. That is enough to make me a sinner. I ought to be punished, or love them back before it is too late. No, wait. I have loved them for a long time and I still do. Sadly, I don't know how to show my love. Why is love such a painful thing to handle sometimes? Shouldn't love be a great thing? Or should I pass on this love to my children? It is selfish not to have children? I wonder, but I will learn. Hopefully, not through the hard way.

Channel U

So much improvements made to the channel recently. The packaging is really good. The news are less exhaustive and "Good Luck!" is a nice show. The variety shows look fresh to me.

Long vacation

After exam, I could tell that there were plenty of visits to my blog during the weekend. Sadly, I wasn't home after my last paper. I went to Cathay Orchard to watch the acclaimed Korean film "3-iron". A very arty film. I think the screenplay is shorter than our Blaw exam answer script. The leading actor said absolutely nothing at all! The leading actress only had 2 lines to say. No wonder the 3 students sitting beside me left like 10 minutes into the film. After the film, some teenagers call it "shit movie". Personally, I enjoyed it. I thought the leading actors were great. They show they emotion so effectivey without saying anything. Beside, though unusual, it is interesting. May I used too much left brain recently for exam, so must use right brain more to analyse the film. LOL!

Sad to note that from next month on, the ticket price for GV, Shaw, and Eng Wah are going to increase ($0.50 for weekdays, $1 for weekend. Call that daylight robbery.). So must try to go Cathay Orchard if possible. Outside the building, I bought a cup of mini-balls ice cream. It was expensive and doesn't taste that great, but the owner complaint that the rental at Orchard is murderous and business wasn't good, so I treat it as a charity.

I also donated $2 to an organisation meant for families facing difficulties, and guided an Indonesian to Dougby Gaught MRT station (To quote Julie Andrews in "The Sound of Music": Somewhere in my youth, or childhood, I must have done something good). Entered Stamford Raffles Hotal for the first time that day. Lobby wasn't big. Though one of world's highest hotel, the base was too small, in my humble opinion, causing it to be smaller on the whole. I used to wonder how a small base can sustain such height(Remember our Secondary school's Physic lesson?). Still, the interior design is appealing. The buffet-like restaurant seems to be gone, replaced by a cafe restaurant, or what not.

I arrived home late that night, woke up late the following day, and went to Malaysia for tombsweeping. Came back late last night, and that explain my lack of recent update. *Phew* My fingers... ...

Pre/Post-exam blues

For me, I always procrastinate before exam. Even if I try to put in effort, nothing goes into my mind. I wonder why. During exam period, I go at full speed, leaving myself little chance to practice. Funny to note that for exam, I wasn't too stress and is more confident. The opposite is true for common test. An interesting scenario for psychological study. After each paper, we have the tendency to worry about it when we should be getting prepared for following days' papers.

After exam, no more preparation for exam, but I often worry about the results. Now, All I need is a straight pass. I need my 6-months attachment. It is tough going for 2-months attachment. Wonder how it is like being an accounting attaché. I will know, hopefully.
